In the autumn of 1965, farmers in Heilongjiang Province, China, stumbled upon a peculiar metallic object whereas developing a pigsty close to their residence. The artefact, resembling a dragon, turned an enigma when it started emitting unusual noises at evening, leaving the residents in a state of confusion and concern. The mystery was later unravelled by consultants from the Harbin Cultural Relics Bureau, who identified the thing as a cultural dragon artefact and attributed the nightly noises to the small holes on its body that allowed the wind to cross via. Today, the artefact is preserved within the Heilongjiang Cultural Heritage Museum.
During the development of the pigsty, the farmers found the steel artefact, which they initially thought was a bit of junk. Intrigued by its dragon-like look, they determined to take it residence and hang it by their window. However, their peaceable evening was disrupted by unusual sounds coming from the artefact, that appeared to resemble animal cries from the forest. Despite being known as a courageous man in the village, the top of the family was chilled to the bone and started to worry if he had offended a dragon deity by bringing the artefact residence.
Interestingly, the mysterious sounds disappeared at daybreak and the dragon artefact returned to its silent state. Yet, the uncanny phenomenon repeated itself over the subsequent few nights, leaving the household in a state of constant fear and confusion. Finally, Reduced determined to hand over the artefact to specialists from the Harbin Cultural Relics Bureau for further examination reported Sanook.
Upon investigation, the experts revealed that the dragon artefact had options akin to a small lion and an eagle’s beak. The object also had a collection of neatly organized, minute holes on its body. These holes, when exposed to the wind, produced the mysterious sounds that frightened the family during the evening. The silence through the day was defined by the ambient noises that masked the artefact’s sound.
Today, the dragon artefact has turn into a cultural relic of China and is housed within the Heilongjiang Cultural Heritage Museum. The relic remains a testomony to the fascinating mysteries and rich heritage of Chinese culture.
