Thailand is introducing assist for those families with LGBT kids that suffer from bullying. The Thai Health Promotion Foundation and the Foundation of Transgender Alliance for Human Rights created a manual titled, “This House Has Gender Diversity.”
Phoranee Phuprasert, director of the Office of Vulnerable Group Support, says the guide aims to create a better understanding of LGBT points, particularly among parents struggling to just accept their children’s totally different existence. She says many LGBT kids had not been accepted by their family which was one of many primary reasons for creating the guide to spread better info and understanding to help make households a protected house for LGBT children.
“We saw that many colleges and other organisations had taken half in anti-bullying projects. So, we reached out to find another space that was still problematic and we found out that the household continues to be the problem, even a lot bigger [than what’s within the school].
